The latest on Anderson Silva: Ex-UFC champ posts pic of rehab on broken leg

anderson-silva-broken-leg-rehabFormer UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva continues to make steady progress on his recovery from a broken leg suffered in a Dec. 28 loss at UFC 168.

Silva (33-6 MMA, 16-2 UFC), who snapped his leg while throwing a low kick at champ Chris Weidman (11-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) in the pay-per-view headliner, has been providing occasional updates through social media. The fighter’s reps and friends have suggested the 38-year-old will forego a retirement and instead return to the cage.

With today’s Instagram update, “The Spider” sounded optimistic about his recovery.

“Thank you for the affection of all,” he wrote (translation via Google Translate). “I’ll be good. I promise you I will.”
