Former UFC featherweight title challenger Chan Sung Jung is targeting a return from injury this August or September, according to a report on Wednesday.
The fighter’s manager, Brian Rhee, told UFC Tonight that “The Korean Zombie” has healed 100 percent from his orbital bone injury. Additionally, Jung is approximately 90-percent healed from the shoulder he injured in his last fight.
Rhee told the FOX Sports 1 program that Jung desires a fight with another former title challenger, Ricardo Lamas, but Lamas prefers to fight before the August-September timeframe, and again on the recently announced UFC 180 card in Mexico City.
Jung sustained his injuries in his loss to featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 163 in August of last year.
Both Jung and Lamas are coming off losses to Aldo in their last fights.
