TUF 22 Finale weigh-in highlights: Edgar and Mendes ready for featherweight showdown

LAS VEGAS – Every fighter made weight successfully at Thursday’s weigh-ins for The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale, including the highly ranked featherweight headliners.

The festivities took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hosts Friday’s card, which airs on FOX Sports 1.

Frankie Edgar (19-4-1 MMA, 13-4-1 UFC), ranked No. 3 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA featherweight rankings, faces Chad Mendes (17-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) in the main event. The bout could well determine the next challenger for the featherweight championship, which will be on the line Saturday at UFC 194 when champion Jose Aldo takes on interim champ Conor McGregor.

The co-main event is the lightweight-tournament final for “The Ultimate Fighter 22.” Late-replacement Ryan Hall (4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) takes on Artem Lobov (11-10-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) in the bout.
