TUF 20 Finale results: Tecia Torres reigns supreme in beatdown of Angela Magana

LAS VEGAS – From bell to bell, Tecia Torres had her way with Angela Magana and cruised to a unanimous decision victory.

Magana (11-7 MMA, 0-1 UFC) offered little in the way of resistance over three rounds as Torres’ (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) fast punches and kicks found their target.

The women’s strawweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale event at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on FOX Sports 1.

The final scores were 30-37 twice and 30-26 for Torres, who remains unbeaten as a pro despite two setbacks on “TUF 20? that kept her from winning the reality show. She was defeated on points to Randa Markos and then lost to now-finalist Carla Esparza.

From the opening bell, Torres’ speed advantage was present. She darted in and out of range with quick combinations as Magana remained a largely stationary target, her head straight up in the air.

Torres’ overhand right provided the perfect punctuation to catch Magana. A flurry dropped her in the first round, and she was staggered again after a Torres pounded her with kicks to the body and the face.

Magana, who lost to Aisling Daly beaten in the show’s quarterfinals, now has dropped three straight in her pro career.
