TUF 16 Fighter Blog – Dom Waters Talks Annoying Roommates and Upset Fights

TUF 16 fighter Dom Waters is back for the latest installment of his blog where he talks about an annoying roommate as well as the upset special in the 2nd quarterfinal fight.

It’s that’s fly guy back again Dom “Shonuff” Waters, so let’s get straight to the meat and potatoes last night’s TUF 16 episode starts off with some drama.

Clearly the whole house or at least the people that stay in the room downstairs grew tired of Naptime Nic’s late night antics. So it’s five people in the room (Mike) Ricci, (Eddy) Ellis, Smiley (Sam) Alvey, (Jon) Manley, and I “Shonuff”.

When Nic was playing pool I remember Ricci just getting heated in our room and understandable, it was 1am, so he went out there and Nic stopped, then about 10 minutes later Nic started jumping rope (talk about annoying).

So I thought I was going to have to go out there but Ricci and Ellis went out and got in his face. Then the next day in our van ride to the gym Mike Hill confronted Nic about the incident, it got a bit heated.

Me personally I think Nic is just young and looking for acceptance.

And how about Secor with the Colton hate, is it warrantd?. Nic would kill people with the whistling too. Fun fact he whistled the same song everyday.

So for the next fight Sam Alvey was slated to Fight Joey “Boom Boom” (Rivera), and everyone was underestimating Joey. It was crazy because I know how good this guy is. So it just made me even more excited to see this fight.

Joey is really light he had to eat constantly just to be able to stay above 175, I wish I had that problem in the house. Main point is he made weight easily while Sam was struggling. But come fight day both fighters showed up and gave it there all.

In the first Joey controlled the action and was putting them hands on Sam, even got a takedown and a good one. Second round was more of the same but Sam had him against the cage a long time, Joey landed a great hard kick though that had Sam on queer street.

In the end Joey got the upset win, and brought control back to Team Nelson.

It was a good show last night, tune in next week on FX Fridays at 10pm. Don’t forget to add me on Twitter @shonuff89, and instagram @domshonuff
