Super Fight League Returns Friday, Nov. 9, with Free SFL 8: Friday Fight Nights on MMAWeekly.com

Super Fight League LogoSuper Fight League (SFL) returns for another series of “Friday Fight Nights,” featuring two top middleweight contenders on a winning streak: John Troyer (13-7-1 U.S.A) versus Vasily Novikov (11-7-0 Ukraine). “Friday Fight Nights” airs live on Neo Prime in India and streams live on MMAWeekly.com Nov. 9, 2012.

Troyer is coming off a three fight win streak that has seen him stop his last two opponents via rear naked choke. Novikov is fresh from a unanimous decision win in April of this year. With Novikov’s fights having only gone the distance twice in an 18-bout career, both of these fighters are looking for a quick finish to make their mark on the global stage.

SFL 8 follows an exciting night of finishes which made up SFL 7.  Only one match went the distance in a card which saw rising UK welterweight star Michael ‘Venom’ Page destroy Egypt’s Haitham Tantawy.

For complete results from SFL 7 visit www.superfightleague.com or watch it here www.YouTube.com/SFL.

Dan Isaac, COO of SFL said, “What more could our army of SFL fans ask for – Kultar Singh Gill ‘Black Mamba,’ Lak ‘Lightening’ Sekhon, Hardeep ‘Hardcore’ Singh, all fighting for SFL, this is truly a global gathering of the best Indian warriors.”

SFL 8 features Indian-Canadian bantamweight power puncher Hardeep Singh (9-2) square off against American Tom McKenna (5-2).  Another of India’s most promising female fighters Deepika takes on New Zealand’s Tracy Lockwood in a bout of debutants.  The full fight card for SFL 8 is listed below.

Raj Kundra, Chairman of Super Fight League said, “What I found most exciting about SFL 7 was the live audience, we are actually experiencing not just the evolution of Indian Mixed Martial artists but also the evolution of the Indian sports fan. Finally – we have a fight culture in the making and ‘fight fans’ cheering on their champions and enjoying the fights. This is truly remarkable.”
