Strikeforce Challengers Invades Stockton; Wilcox vs. Damm Headlines, Ishii Debuts

Strikeforce is headed to the 209.

Stockton, Calif. hometown to Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz will host the next Challengers Series show with lightweight Justin Wilcox squaring off against Rodrigo Damm in the main event.

The show kicks off at 11pm ET on April 1 from California.

Also on the card will be Olympic gold medalist Satoshi Ishii making his Strikeforce debut against kickboxer turned MMA fighter Scott Lighty. Ishii has been considered a highly regarded prospect moving into MMA.

Lighty has trained with former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell for several years, and is known for having knockout power coming from any direction.

Team Cesar Gracie fighter David Douglas also appears on the card taking on Caros Fodor in a lightweight bout on the April card.

Additional fights will be announced for the Strikeforce Challengers card in the coming weeks.
