At least that was the case for Josh Thomson at Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Cormier on Saturday night in San Jose, Calif. He’s been down the road to a decision before. And in his rubber match with Gilbert Melendez, he thought he did enough to earn the nod, but fell just shy, losing a split decision to the Strikeforce lightweight champion.
