A featherweight match-up between Steven Siler and Dennis Bermudez has been added to the UFC: Fight for the Troops 3 fight card.
UFC officials announced the news on Tuesday.
Bermudez (11-3) was originally scheduled to face Nik Lentz on Nov. 6 at UFC Fight Night 31, but Lentz was pulled from the match-up in favor of a bout with Chad Mendes on Dec. 14 at UFC on Fox 9.
Bermudez has strung together a four-fight winning streak since appearing on The Ultimate Fighter 14 and losing in the season’s finale by submission to Diego Brandao. In his last five outings, Bermudez has earned two Fight of the Night bonuses and one for Submission of the Night.
Siler (23-10) is coming off back-to-back wins, including knocking out former WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown at UFC Fight Night 26 on Aug. 17 in his last outing. Siler also appeared on the fourteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter and lost to the eventual winner, Brandao.
UFC: Fight for the Troops 3 takes place on Nov. 6 in Fort Campbell, Ky. It is headlined by a middleweight match between former light heavyweight titleholder Lyoto Machida and Tim Kennedy. The fight marks Machida’s middleweight debut.
