Heavyweight Soa Palelei has been booked for another fight just days after running through Ruan Potts, as he faces Jared Rosholt in New Zealand.
Fresh off of a fairly easy (but ultra violent) knockout win in Cincinnati, Soa Palelei's next fight is already lined up for June 28th. The Aussie will travel to New Zealand to take on American Jared Rosholt as part of UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Te Huna.
Palelei (21-3) is 3-0 in his UFC return after a one-and-done first time in the Octagon when he lost to Eddie Sanchez in 2007. His last two victories have been straight KOs from mount vs. Pat Barry and Ruan Potts, and has won 11 straight since 2011, all of them by KO/TKO. After his win over Potts, Palelei was slotted 15th in the latest heavyweight rankings.
Rosholt (10-1) is 2-0 in the UFC and on his own winning streak of 6. His victories have come against Walt Harris and Daniel Omielanczuk, both by unanimous decision. Both of his prior UFC outings have been on the prelims, but this one is likely to be given main card status.
UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Te Huna airs live on Fight Pass as part of a dual-event day for the UFC. Later in the evening, Cub Swanson fights Jeremy Stephens at UFC Fight Night in San Antonio.
