Sergio Pettis vs. Yaotzin Meza Added to Growing UFC Fight Night 42 Card in Albuquerque

A bantamweight match-up between Sergio Pettis and Yaotzin Meza has been added to the UFC Fight Night 42 fight card in Albuquerque, N.M. UFC officials announced the addition on Tuesday.

Pettis (10-1) is the younger brother of UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. He made his promotional debut in Novemeber 2013 at UFC 167 defeating Will Campuzano by unanimous decision. The 20-year-old lost to Alex Caceres by submission in his last fight on Jan. 25. It was the first loss of his career.

Meza (20-9) made his UFC debut in December 2012, losing by knockout to Chad Mendes. He rebounded from the loss with a submission victory over John Albert in July 2013, but is coming off a unanimous-decision loss to Chico Camus in his last outing on Jan. 25.

Pettis and Meza will both be looking to get back on the winning track on June 7.

UFC Fight Night 42: Henderson vs. Khabilov takes place at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque. The event is headlined by a lightweight match-up between former champion Benson Henderson and rising star Rustam Khabilov.
