In arguably her most revealing interview yet, Ronda Rousey told Ellen DeGeneres the immediate aftermath of her loss to Holly Holm this past November had her thinking suicide.

Rousey appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” today (the episode has not yet aired in many major television markets, but a clip from Rousey’s segment was posted to DeGeneres’ video channel, EllenTube.com) and told the host she thought about killing herself after the first loss of her MMA career at UFC 193.

Through tears, the former champ told the popular daytime host she wasn’t sure what she could be if she wasn’t an unbeaten UFC titleholder.

“Honestly, my thought, I was in the medical room and I was down in the corner, and I was like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?'” Rousey said. “I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself, and that exact second I’m like, ‘I’m nothing. What do I do anymore?’ and ‘No one gives a (expletive) about me anymore without this.'”

But Rousey said that suicidal thought was brief after she saw her boyfriend, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne. At the time, the two had only recently gone public with their relationship, and Browne was in Australia supporting Rousey for the main event.

“To be honest, I looked up and I saw my man, Travis, was standing there,” Rousey recalled. “And I looked up at him and I was like, ‘I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.’ Really, that was it. I haven’t told anybody that. I’ve only told him.”

Rousey (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) said she learned through her knockout loss to Holm (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) that she’s still undefeated if she wants to consider herself undefeated, and that there’s more to her life and career that can come because of the loss.

Rousey also appears tonight on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on NBC. She also was on with DeGeneres to promote her appearance on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which hit newsstands Monday.

This past Saturday night, she was revealed as one of three women to appear on the cover of this year’s issue. She’s just the second non-full time model to appear on the cover – Beyonce Knowles was the first – and the first full-time athlete to make the cover. She appears on the cover and inside the issue, which arrived on newsstands Monday, in nothing but body paint.

Rousey is expected to get the winner of a fight between new champ Holm and her biggest rival, Miesha Tate, sometime later this year. White believes a Holm-Rousey rematch could be the biggest pay-per-view in the UFC’s history.

Mousey told DeGeneres without question, she is pulling for Holm against Tate in the co-main event of UFC 196 next month in Las Vegas so she can get another crack at her.
