A middleweight matchup between Texan Roger Narvaez (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Canadian Elias Theodorou (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) is the latest addition to the quickly filling UFC 185 lineup.
UFC officials today confirmed the bout following an initial report from Winnipeg Free Press.
Featuring a lightweight title fight between current UFC champ Anthony Pettis and top contender Rafael dos Anjos, UFC 185 takes place March 14 at Dallas’ American Airlines Center. While the night’s main card airs on pay-per-view, a bout order for the evening has yet to be revealed.
Narvaez came to the UFC in June as an undefeated prospect but was given a tough matchup and suffered a second-round TKO loss to Patrick Cummins. He bounced back in November, fighting in his home state, by earning a split-decision win over Luke Barnatt.
Meanwhile, “The Spartan” Theodorou was the middleweight winner of “The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia,” downing Sheldon Westcott in this past April’s tournament finals via TKO. Theodorou returned to action in October and earned a decision win over Bruno Santos.
