Roger Huerta Meets Brazilian Zorobabel Moreira at One FC 4 “Destiny of Warriors”

Promotion officials announced Tuesday night that Huerta will square
off with Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Zorobabel
Moreira in a welterweight bout at One
FC 4, which takes place June 23 at Stadium Negara in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia. The event will be headlined by a light
heavyweight confrontation between ex-Strikeforce titlist Renato
Sobral and former Dream grand prix finalist Tatsuya
Huerta was initially expected to meet fellow UFC veteran Phil Baroni at
“Destiny of Warriors,” but a source close to the situation informed
Sherdog.com that Baroni was not allowed to compete due to his June
2 technical knockout loss at Ring of Fire
43 in Colorado. “El Matador” enters the cage looking to halt a
three-fight skid, as he was bested by Pat Curran
Alvarez during his 2010 Bellator stint before falling to former
“Ultimate Fighter” Season 6 cast member War Machine
this past November.
Conversely, Moreira rides a four-fight winning streak heading into
his conflict with Huerta. A native Brazilian now residing in
Singapore, Moreira earned a pair of victories last year,

A trio of bouts have been officially added to ONE Fighting Championship's upcoming quadruple-header, including the return of onetime UFC standout Roger Huerta.
Huerta (21-7-1, 1 NC), a lightweight who currently serves as head wrestling coach at Tiger Muay Thai in Phunket, Thailand, has been out of competition since suffering a brutal second-round knockout loss via soccer kick to Zorobabel Moreira in June 2012. Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans haven't seen former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Roger Huerta for over two years. Probably because it took him that long to wake up from one of the nastiest soccer kicks in the history of the sport (see it again here).

2009 ADCC bronze medalist and Felipe Costa jiu-jitsu black belt Ryan Hall has signed a multi-fight deal with Titan FC. Titan FC COO Lex McMahon confirmed the news with MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani Tuesday evening.

Demian Maia will return to the Octagon next month.
Maia will square off against Mike Pyle in a welterweight contest at UFC Fight Night 49 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. on Aug. 23, according to UFC officials Tuesday night.
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist has won three of his past five fights, including a unanimous decision win over Alexander Yakovlev at TUF: Brazil 3 on May 31.
Pyle has won four of his past five fights, including a third-round TKO of T.J. Waldburger at UFC 170 on Feb. 22.
Reports are in that kickboxing legends Peter Aerts and Ernesto Hoost will square off for the 6th time in their Hall of Fame careers this October in Japan. Full details here.
Though not confirmed, there's an interesting upcoming kickboxing fight being talked about that is well worth some attention. According to sources, on October 19 in Osaka, Japan, two of the all time legends of the sport will meet once again as Peter Aerts takes on Ernesto Hoost for the WKO Heavyweight championship.
