Resurrection Fighting Alliance Inks AXS TV Deal Starting with RFA 7 on March 22

The Las Vegas-based Resurrection Fighting Alliance on Thursday announced that the promotion has signed a television distribution deal with AXS TV for 2013.

RFA President Ed Soares -- who also manages several high-level UFC talents -- brought word of the agreement in a press release. The exact number of fights to air on AXS TV this year was not revealed, though the release stated that RFA could hold up to 10 shows in 2013.

“I am honored and excited to be in business with AXS TV and to have this national television deal in place for 2013,” said Soares. “I’m already so far ahead of where I wanted to be at this time -- we have plans to do up to 10 fights this year -- and with this major TV deal in place, I think we have established that RFA offers aspiring athletes tough competition in fights that reach a national audience.”

Soares also announced two new additions to the RFA team, as Sven Bean and Jen Wenk will serve as chief operating officer and head of public relations, respectively.

RFA held its first event of 2013 on January 18 and will return on March 22, when RFA 7 takes place at the 1stBank Center in Denver. No bouts have been announced for that show as of yet, though it will be held in conjunction with the Colorado-based Ring of Fire promotion, according to the release. The evening’s main draw airs live on AXS TV beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
