Report: Middleweights Mark Munoz, Michael Bisping Targeted for Oct. 26 Bout in Manchester
A pivotal showdown between Top 10 middleweights Mark Munoz
is expected to headline an Ultimate Fighting
Championship card in Manchester on Oct. 26.
first reported the booking on Friday, although the promotion
has yet to announce the matchup. The UFC was last in England for UFC
on Fuel TV 7, which took place at Wembley Arena in London. The Las
Vegas-based organization has not been to Manchester since Nov. 14,
2009, when Randy
Couture vs. Brandon Vera
headlined UFC 105.
After nearly a year-long hiatus, Munoz made a successful return to
the Octagon at UFC 162, utilizing his vicious ground-and-pound to
earn a unanimous verdict against Tim Boetsch.
Prior to that victory, “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” had a
four-fight winning streak halted in brutal fashion, as he was
knocked out in the second round by current middleweight king
Weidman at UFC on Fuel TV 4.
Like Munoz, Bisping also recently rebounded from a devastating
knockout loss. After falling victim to a Vitor
Belfort head kick at UFC on FX 7 in January, “The Count”
captured a technical decision over Alan
Belcher at UFC 159. The Manchester native has won six of his
last eight fights in the UFC.

"The Count" also believes Lyoto Machida will dethrone Chris Weidman this weekend (Sat., July 5, 2014) at UFC 175 to capture the middleweight title. Following his unanimous decision loss to Tim Kennedy at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Nations" Finale this past April, Michael Bisping wasted no time in asking for another fight.
The British banger got what he wanted, as he was pegged to face former Strikeforce middleweight champion Cung Le in the main event of UFC Fight Night 48, which goes down insi more
When Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira threw a fight-changing illegal knee to a downed Nik Lentz during their lightweight fight at UFC on Versus 4 back in June of 2011, the crowd at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh came unglued, and not in a good way. Referee Chip Snider may have been indifferent to the foul, but the viewing audience knew right away what had occurred.
Oliveira’s win was changed to a “no-contest” by the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission, and both men have since moved down to 145 p more
"Cowboy" said he would fight anyone, anytime, anywhere ... and it looks like he wasn't kidding.
Fresh off his second-round shellacking over Jim Miller at UFC Fight Night 45 earlier this week on FOX Sports 1 (watch it), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight contender Donald Cerrone will reportedly make a quick turnaround to face off against undefeated sambo specialist Khabib Nurmagomedov at the upcoming UFC 178 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sept. 27, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada more

Conor McGregor wants to jump the line in the UFC featherweight division. As you might expect in a case like this, that's not going to happen without a fight.
Before, during and after McGregor's stirring first-round TKO of Diego Brandao at UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin Saturday, a new and very dangerous challenger revealed himself to the Irish sensation: young up-and-comer Dustin "The Diamond" Poirier.
On Monday, Poirier took his challenge to a new level, crushing McGregor's UFC bona fides down th more
UFC media panelists were impressed enough by Conor McGregor's showing last Saturday to give him a spot in the top 10 in the featherweight division.
The latest UFC rankings came out yesterday, and the biggest notable change coming out of the UFC Fight Night Dublin show was Conor McGregor making the top 10 of featherweight for the first time. It's a bit surprising that McGregor, who hasn't beaten a single ranked opponent en route to this spot, was rewarded as such, but I guess style points plays a more
And when "The Count" disposes of Cung Le, he's ready to silence the Strikeforce import.
Michael Bisping: Fighter, mixed martial arts (MMA) analyst ... life coach?
"The Count" was a recent guest on UFC Tonight, and had some career advice for Luke Rockhold, who is currently waiting for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to find him an opponent. In the interim, he can probably help his own cause by ditching his teenage friends.

Michael Bisping aims to get back into the win column next month when he takes on Cung Le at UFC Fight Night 48, and if he does so successfully, he may already have another opponent waiting in the wings. Bisping and former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold have long traded barbs over social media, and the Brit couldn't help but throw in his two cents when asked about Rockhold on Wednesday's edition of UFC Tonight.

Although Michael Bisping is slated to face Cung Le in his 21st bout with the company at UFC Fight Night 48 in August, it seems obvious that "The Count" has another middleweight star in his cross hairs. On Wednesday's episode of UFC Tonight, and as transcribed by MMA Mania's Jesse Holland, the UFC's eighth-ranked middleweight, said the following regarding the fifth-ranked Luke Rockhold. When Luke Rockhold is done making a douche bag out of himself, hanging out at pool parties with teenagers, if h more
