Radio (noon ET): UFC Fight Night 29's Mike Pierce and T.J. Dillashaw

mike-pierce-9.jpgMMAjunkie.com Radio today welcomes to the show the UFC’s Mike Pierce and T.J. Dillashaw, both of whom fight next week at UFC Fight Night 29.

Pierce (17-5 MMA, 9-3 UFC) has won four straight fights in the UFC’s tough welterweight division and is preparing to fight Rousimar Palhares in Brazil. In July, he stopped David Mitchell with a second-round TKO at UFC 162 in Las Vegas. But now he gets ready to leave the country for a fight for just the second time in his career. This past December, he beat Seth Baczynski by decision in Australia. Pierce is ranked No. 10 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA welterweight rankings.

Dillashaw (8-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC), a member of Sacramento’s Team Alpha Male, also has won four straight. His only career loss came to John Dodson in the bantamweight finals of Season 14 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Since then, he has a decision win over Walel Watson and stoppages of Vaughan Lee, Issei Tamura and Hugo Viana. He’ll be fighting in Brazil for the first time when he meets Raphael Assuncao next week. Dillashaw is ranked No. 12 and Assuncao No. 9 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA bantamweight rankings.
