RFA 22 video highlights: Some tough Chidi Njokuani striking and crazy stoppages

Chidi Njokuani has developed a great reputation around his striking game, and it was on display again Friday night.

But because he missed weight, the welterweight title he could have finally wrapped around his waist will have to wait. Njokuanki (12-4) was mostly dominant against Gilbert Smith (10-4), but the weigh infraction made his RFA 22 main event a non-title fight, and the vacant 170-pound strap remains up for grabs.

Check out the video highlights of the title fight that wasn’t above. The bout took place at The Hangar at Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo. The main card aired live on AXS TV.

The highlights also include Mark Dickman (10-2) and a brilliant win over Donald Sanchez (30-15) – though Dickman also came in severely overweight and lost 50 percent of his purse; Ricky Musgrave (14-4) and his comeback win over UFC veteran Alvin Robinson (14-9); and Josh Huber (15-7) with a highlight-reel tapout of Prentice Ingram (9-5).
