RFA 15 fight card finalized, Kevin Casey vs. Andrew Sanchez for middleweight belt

The fight card is set for next month’s RFA 15 event, which features a championship headliner.

The organization recently announced Kevin Casey (7-3) and Andrew Sanchez (5-1) will fight for the organization’s vacant middleweight title.

RFA 15 takes place June 6 at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City. The main card airs on AXS TV.

Casey (7-3) fights for the third time under the RFA banner. The former UFC and Strikeforce fighter, who will fight in his home state, made his promotional debut with a decision victory over Casey Ryan at RFA 9, and then at RFA 12 back in January, he scored a TKO victory over Eddie Mendez.

He now takes on Sanchez, a part-time rock guitarist who also looks for his third straight RFA win. The Missouri-based fighter scored TKO wins over Todd Meredith and Miles Marshall at RFA 11 and RFA 13, respectively, and now has five stoppages in five career wins.

In the co-headliner, former Strikeforce and Bellator fighter Ricky Legere Jr. (18-4) looks for his eighth straight win as he takes on fellow welterweight Alan Jouban (8-2), who’s on a 7-1 run thanks to a knockout of Armando Montoya Jr. at RFA 14.

Also on the card, Chinzo Machida (2-2), the brother of former UFC champion Lyoto Machida, looks to build off November’s stunning flying-knee knockout of Brian Wood when he meets Californian featherweight Dmitry Gerasimov (3-1).

Rounding out the main card are lightweights James Moontasri (6-1) vs. Dashon Johnson (9-0), featherweights Daniel Aguiar (10-3) vs. Sam Toomer (7-0), and middleweights John Hackleman Jr. (2-0) vs. Justin Jones (2-0).
