Photo: UFC 160's Mark Hunt says fractured toe needed six stitches

After Donald Cerrone tweeted some nasty gashes, fellow UFC 160 fighter Mark Hunt has published some gore of his own.

The fighter, who suffered a third-round knockout loss to ex-heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos (16-2 MMA, 10-1 UFC) in UFC 160's co-headliner this past weekend, injured his toe in the May 25 fight.

According to Hunt (9-8 MMA, 4-2 UFC), who tweeted a photo of the injury, he suffered a fracture and needed six stitches.

Hunt was on a four-fight win streak before the loss to dos Santos, which aired on pay-per-view from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The New Zealander said he suffered the injury in the first round, though he fought two more rounds before dos Santos caught him with a spinning heel kick that set up the stoppage (check out the dos Santos vs. Hunt video to see the knockout).

Hunt, who remained No. 9 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA heavyweight rankings despite the loss, gave no timetable for a return.
