LAS VEGAS – If you’re squeamish, now’s the time to turn away as we show you the moment Anderson Silva snapped his leg in Saturday’s UFC 168 headliner.
Facing UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman in a rematch, Silva suffered a second-round TKO loss in the pay-per-view main event after a checked kick resulted in a broken leg.

At UFC 168, Anderson Silva broke his leg upon having one of his kicks checked by the current middleweight champion, Chris Weidman.
After undergoing surgery to repair the former champion’s left tibia and fibula and months of rehabilitation, one of Silva’s managers, Ed Soares, predicted the Brazilian's return. Chris Weidman knocked Anderson Silva out at UFC 162. He stopped him again in their rematch at UFC 168 after Silva snapped his leg on a checked kick.
