Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has been busy behind the scenes this weekend, pushing out match ups for its late summer/early fall fight cards. Joining the upcoming UFC 178 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sept. 27, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a welterweight bangfest pitting Patrick Cote against Stephen Thompson.

Staying true to his word, light heavyweight Kyle Kingsbury retired following a one-sided loss to Patrick Cummins at UFC on FOX 12 in San Jose. Kingsbury, who was a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter 8, had said that he didn't want to hang around as an average fighter.
