Russian fighter Adam Khaliev will make his promotional debut at UFC on Fox 10 on Jan. 25 in Chicago. He will square off with Octagon veteran Pascal Krauss, according to UFC officials.
Khaliev (7-0) has never fought outside of his home country, but follows a steady flow of talent coming out of the former Soviet Union. Fellow Russians Khalid Nurmagomedov and Ali Bagautinov stormed into the UFC, and Khaliev surely hopes to follow in his countrymen’s footsteps.
Welcoming him to the Octagon is Krauss (11-2), a UFC veteran that has been working to establish himself with the promotion. He currently holds a 2-2 record in the UFC. He recently lost via knockout to Hyun Gyu Lim at UFC 164 at the end of August.
A battle between former UFC champion Benson Henderson and former Strikeforce champion Josh Thomson headlines the UFC on Fox 10 fight card when the promotion returns to the United Center.
