'ONE FC 12: Warrior Spirit' adds four bouts, including tourney final

Next month’s “ONE FC 12: Warrior Spirit” event has four new additions, including a tournament final.

The event takes place at Nov. 15 at Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event streams in North America as an online pay-per-view and includes Adam Kayoom (4-1) vs. Nobutatsu Suzuki (10-1-2) for the ONE FC inaugural welterweight title.

In the final of the Malaysian national featherweight tournament, Melvin Yeoh (7-1) takes on A.J. Lias Mansor (1-3). Yeoh, a muay Thai specialist, advanced to the final with a submission victory over Raymond Tiew, which marked his fifth consecutive MMA victory, all of which have come via stoppages. He takes on Mansor, a replacement for injured Jian Kai Chee. In the four-man tourney’s opening round, Mansor suffered a decision loss to Chee, which marked his third consecutive defeat.

Also slated for the card is a flyweight bout between Malaysian fighters Gianni Subba (2-0), who stopped Bruce Loh and Saiful Merican in his first two ONE FC bouts, and Chen Yun Ting (1-0), who knocked out Ronald Low in his ONE FC and pro debut earlier this year.

Today’s other additions include Nik Harris (4-2) vs. Zuli Silawanto (6-6) and Steven Durr (1-1) vs. Samir Mrabet (2-0).

The latest ONE FC 12 card includes:

• Adam Kayoom vs. Nobutatsu Suzuki – for inaugural welterweight title
• A.J. Lias Mansor vs. Melvin Yeoh – Malaysian featherweight tourney final
• Gianni Subba vs. Chen Yun Ting
• Nik Harris vs. Zuli Silawanto
