ONE Championship 28 video: Timofey Nastyukhin concludes night of finishes

Eight of the 11 bouts at ONE Championship 28 ended via knockout of submission, making for an exciting night of action. Check out the video highlights above.

The show took place this past Saturday, June 20, at Guangzhou International Sports Arena in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.

Russian featherweight Timofey Nastyukhin (9-1) pulled off the victory in the main event with a TKO of Yusuke Kawanago (13-5-2) at the 1:32 mark of Round 1. It was Nastyukhin’s ninth consecutive win. None of his bouts has seen the second round, and six of his nine victories have ended before the two-minute mark of the opening round.

Wu Ze (3-1) pulled off a pair of victories to win the four-man flyweight tournament. Ze first defeated Wu Hui Qiang (0-1) with a rear-naked choke at the 4:42 mark of Round 2 and followed that win up with a split-decision victory over Ma Jia Wen (5-1) in the finals. Ze is now riding a three-fight winning streak after losing his professional debut.

Huang Di Yuan (2-0) was the event’s other tournament winner, pulling off two wins to take home the featherweight tournament title. Tian Jian She (0-1) verbally submitted at the end of Round 1 in the first tourney fight while Yuan took a decision over Jia Wen Ma (1-1) in the finals.
