That first time I think it might just have been the emotions of losing, but when he mentioned the retirement again after being beaten by Georges St-Pierre at UFC 158 in Canada, it could be serious. He has recently also registered a website for a planned promotion called WAR Mixed Martial Arts at NickDiazPromotions.com. The California State Athletic Commission has also confirmed that Diaz has started the process of applying for a promoter's license.
