With all the hoopla focused on GSP's retirement this weekend, the end of another illustrious career seems to have gone largely un-noticed. Heavyweight Neil "Goliath" Grove, who turns 43 in January has announced his retirement. A big banger who racked up a record of 12-7-1 fighting for the UFC, Bellator, Cage Rage, and UCMMA, Grove made the announcement on his Facebook page, writing "Thank you GSP for all you have done and given to my sport, MMA. You will be missed. And on that note, I retire too. Too many cancellations in shows and fighters pulling out last minute, and to be honest, it's expensive. Fighting doesn't pay for the time and effort and cost of training. Thanks for all the support from my friends and family."
Will Grove's retirement plans stick, or will the fight game lure him back for an encore? Check back often at MMA DIRT for updates....
