jon-anik.jpgMike Goldberg will replace Jon Anik in the broadcast booth next week at UFC on FUEL TV 9, though Anik plans to return the following week at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.

Anik today confirmed the plans with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) following an initial report from Fighters.com.

UFC on FUEL TV 9 takes place April 6 at Stockholm. According to Anik, his wife is due to give birth to their second daughter on or around April 10.

The Ultimate Fighter 17 takes place April 13 in Las Vegas.

“I’ll do the TUF Finale in Vegas as long as she doesn’t go into labor that day,” Anik said.

Anik and retired UFC fighter Kenny Florian traditionally call the action for the UFC’s FX and FUEL TV. Goldberg and Joe Rogan handle pay-per-view and FOX events. However, some shuffling does occur. Just this past December, Anik filled in for Goldberg at UFC 155 after the veteran UFC broadcaster said he was sidelined by health issues.

Anik, who also hosts “UFC Ultimate Insider” and other program on FUEL TV, left ESPN and joined the UFC in late 2011. Florian became his permanent broadcast partner in early 2012.
