Emanuel Newton probably would just as soon forget 2009.
That year and the three losses that came with it is all that is separating Newton from a 20-fight streak without a loss. Instead, heading into his fight at Bellator 72 against Attila Vegh, Newton has to settle for a six-fight streak and 16-3-1 in his past 20. Not too shabby.
But it's the memory of a motorcycle crash in his past, and the thought of building a future for his daughter that keeps him going most of all.
