Marlon Sandro, Daniel Straus Collide in Season 6 Featherweight Final at Bellator 68

Bellator’s sixth-season featherweight finals are now set, as Marlon Sandro will meet Daniel Straus at Bellator 68 on May 11.

Sherdog.com confirmed the booking with Bellator officials on Friday night. Bellator 68 takes place at Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., and airs on MTV2 and Epix. In addition to the featherweight finals, the event will also showcase a welterweight rematch between Marius Zaromskis and Waachiim Spiritwolf.

This marks the second tournament final for which Sandro has qualified, as the hard-punching Nova Uniao representative also fought his way to the Summer Series championship round before falling by knockout to future divisional kingpin Pat Curran. Sandro, 35, earned his spot in the Season 6 finals by running through Roberto Vargas in the March 9 quarterfinals before edging countryman Alexandre Bezerra via split decision in an April 6 semifinal pairing.

Meanwhile, Straus, 27, has won 15 of his last 16 bouts. Another two-time tournament finalist, the Team Vision talent bested Nazareno Malegarie and Kenny Foster in the Season 4 draw before dropping a unanimous decision to Patricio Freire in the finals. The reigning North American Allied Fight Series lightweight champion has repeated the trick in Season 6 thus far, outpointing Jeremy Spoon and Mike Corey to occupy the second slot in the finals.
