Marcos Galvao, Luis Alberto Nogueira Cleared for Friday’s Bellator 73 Bantamweight Final

Bellator Season 6 bantamweight tournament finalists Marcos Galvao and Luis Alberto Nogueira both came in on point at Thursday’s Bellator 73 weigh-ins, with each man tipping the scales at 136 pounds.

The bantamweights will collide at Harrah’s Tunica Hotel and Casino in Tunica Resorts, Miss., as will Travis Wiuff (206) and Attila Vegh (204.4), who will decide the 2012 Summer Series light heavyweight tournament winner. As with the delayed final of the Season 6 bantamweight draw, the winner of the ongoing 205-pound tournament will receive both a $100,000 payday and a shot at the world title.

The MTV2-broadcast main draw will also see a pair of undefeated light heavyweights collide, as Matt Van Buren (205.8) locks horns with Mike Mucitelli (204.4). Meanwhile, once-beaten heavyweight Ryan Martinez (264) looks to maintain the momentum generated by his back-to-back wins in the ProElite cage when he makes his Bellator debut against onetime UFC competitor Mike Wessel (262.5).

The event also features a host of undercard attractions, which stream live on Spike.com prior to the main card telecast, including a lightweight tilt between Cosmo Alexandre (155.6) and Harry Johnson (154), a light heavyweight showdown featuring Brian Albin (205) taking on Jacob Noe (205.8) and a welterweight contest pitting Joe Williams (170.6) against Andy Uhrich (170.2).
