Marco Polo Reyes vs. Jason Novelli slated for UFC Fight Night 98 in Mexico

November’s UFC Fight Night 98 lineup has a new lightweight addition.

UFC officials recently announced a fight between Marco Polo Reyes (6-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Jason Novelli (11-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC).

UFC Fight Night 98, which also serves as the live finale for “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3,” takes place Nov. 5 at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City. It airs on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.

Reyes, a 31-year-old Mexican fighter, looks for his third straight UFC win and third straight fight-night bonus. Since joining the UFC, the “TUF: Latin America 2” semifinalist has scored back-to-back knockout wins over Cesar Arzamendia and “Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim.

He now meets Novelli, a Titan FC and SFL vet who made his promotional debut in August. After a five-fight unbeaten streak (4-0-1), the 37-year-old suffered a knockout loss to David Teymur.
