UFC CanadaCanadian UFC fans can expect the Ultimate Fighting Championship to return to the Great White North for at least three pay-per-view events in 2011.

At least, that’s the plan, eh?

“Right now, we’ve only confirmed Toronto,” UFC director of Canadian operations Tom Wright told MMAWeekly.com, before adding, “We’re working on Vancouver again, and obviously we’d love to come back to Montreal, it’s a great town.”

After back-to-back years with single events in Montreal, the UFC in 2010 held three events in Canada. The promotion made it’s annual trip to Montreal in May, expanded its efforts to Vancouver in June, and then returned to Montreal in December for UFC 124.

That’s not even counting World Extreme Cagefighting’s June event in Edmonton, Alberta. The WEC was also under the Zuffa umbrella before recently being merged into the UFC.

“We’re looking to have three again in Canada next year,” confirmed Wright. “So three of the global pay-per-views, that’s 20 percent. Not a bad number.”

The UFC is also looking to do a Canadian version of its popular reality series “The Ultimate Fighter.” Wright has even revealed discussions of an all-French version of TUF in Canada, although UFC president Dana White said that Canada wouldn’t be the first country to add an international flavor to TUF.
