Riding a four-fight losing streak into his recent fight with Duane Ludwig, Dan Hardy was carrying a huge monkey on his back. He finally shucked it off, knocking out Ludwig late in the first round of their fight at UFC 146.
Hardy is now slated to face Amir Sadollah in his next fight. Perhaps the more exciting prospect of the fight with Sadollah, however, is that he’ll be fighting, quite literally, in his hometown in Nottingham, England.
“I didn’t think we had an arena big enough (to fighting in Nottingham,” said Hardy at a recent Xyience press conference, before also discussing the relief of finally getting back on the winning track.
