Lightweights Carlo Prater, Carlos Diego Ferreira to Headline Legacy FC 20

Eleven fights are now set for Legacy Fighting Championship 20, including a lightweight headliner between UFC veteran Carlo Prater and undefeated Carlos Diego Ferreira.

LFC promoter Mick Maynard verified the matchup on Saturday, also confirming that Damacio Page will make his promotional debut at the May 31 event against Patrick Ybarra. LFC 20 takes place at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, and the evening’s main draw airs live on AXS TV.

Perhaps best known for challenging Carlos Condit for the World Extreme Cagefighting welterweight title back in 2008, Prater, 31, earned a controversial disqualification victory over prospect Erick Silva roughly 14 months ago in his UFC debut. Prater followed that win with back-to-back defeats at 155 pounds, however, dropping decisions to T.J. Grant and Marcus LeVesseur. Since his UFC release, “Neo” has gone 1-1, most recently submitting Sebastian Latorre on Jan. 25.

Ferreira, meanwhile, has competed just six times as a pro, notching five submission victories in nearly two years of competition. The 28-year-old Texan last competed just five weeks ago, finishing Danny Salinas with a rear-naked choke at South Texas Fighting Championships 23.
