Legacy FC 62 highlights: How much did this eye-poke affect the headlining title fight?

Few things can affect a fight like an accidental eye-poke, as we learned in Friday’s Legacy FC 62 headliner.

Middleweight champion and jiu-jitsu standout Rafael Lovato Jr. (4-0) got a third-round submission win over challenger and big-show vet Cortez Coleman (13-7). However, an unfortunate eye-poke played a large factor in the title defense.

Legacy FC 62 took place at Firelake Arena in Oklahoma City, Okla., with an AXS TV-televised main card.

Also on the card, Justin Rader’s (5-2) pounded out fellow 145-pounder Mike Maldonado (5-1) with ground strikes, and featherweight Dan Ige (5-2) muscled his way to a second-round kimura win over Diego Pichilingue (3-3).
