Legacy FC 21 Set for July 19 with Bantamweight, Middleweight Title Bouts in Houston

The Legacy Fighting Championship 21 bill is now set with 12 fights, including a bantamweight title headliner between Angel Huerta and Matt Hobar.

LFC 21 takes place at Houston’s Arena Theater and will also feature a middleweight title clash pitting Larry Crowe against William Bush. The evening’s main draw airs live on AXS TV and will showcase the LFC debut of welterweight Matt Riddle, as the UFC veteran collides with Artenas Young.

Featherweights Gerzan Chaw and Darrion Caldwell will also do battle on the televised broadcast, as will welterweights Jonathan Harris and Matt Rogers. Additionally, Justin Reiswerg and Gerardo Abadie will square off in a 160-pound catchweight bout to round out the main draw.

Huerta has tasted defeat just once as a professional, earning all five of his pro victories by way of knockout. “The Chosen One” last competed on Nov. 16, when he pocketed a 67-second stoppage of Saul Elizondo at LFC 15.

Hobar, meanwhile, was last seen just five days ago at LFC 19, as “The Crowbar” took a unanimous decision over Nelson Salas to earn his crack at the vacant bantamweight belt. Like his upcoming opponent, Hobar has been beaten just once as a pro. The Texan rectified that August loss, however, as Hobar took a majority decision from Steven Peterson in their December rematch at LFC 16.
