Strikeforce “Challengers 19” now has a headlining attraction, as Lorenz Larkin (Pictured, File Photo) will square off with Virgil Zwicker in a light heavyweight affair at the Sept. 23 event.

Larkin's representation announced the news Thursday night. Featuring the return of lightweight Ryan Couture, Challengers 19 will emanate from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

“I am definitely excited about this matchup with Virgil,” said Larkin in the official release, “I want to come out and put on a great show for the fans, and I can’t wait to fight in Vegas for the first time in my career.”

Undefeated through 11 pro outings, Larkin has exhibited unorthodox but effective striking so far in his two-fight Strikeforce stint. The kung fu stylist debuted with the promotion in April, battering an overmatched Scott Lighty en route to a second-round technical knockout. “The Monsoon” returned to the cage on June 24, making waves with a unanimous decision win over fellow prospect Gian Villante.

Zwicker has split his last four contests. The natural light heavyweight made his Strikeforce debut last October against the massive Lavar Johnson and was stopped for the first time in his career. “Rezdog” would rebound from the defeat, however, knocking out Brett Albee in just 1:46 at “Diaz vs. Daley” in April.
