Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock Reportedly Fail Bellator 149 Drug Tests

Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock Reportedly Fail Bellator 149 Drug Tests

Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock have each tested positive for banned substances following their respective bouts at Bellator 149.

The substances that each tested positive for have not been revealed, but multiple sources confirmed the report by MMAFighting.com, which was the first outlet to report the positive test results.

Kimbo Slice and Ken ShamrockWhile the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has yet to confirm the positive test results, MixedMartialArts.com, the official record keeper for the Association of Boxing Commissions, has already changed the result of Kimbo’s fight with Dada 5000 from a victory for Kimbo to a no contest.

Shamrock lost to Royce Gracie in the Bellator 149 main event, so the outcome of his bout would not be changed for testing positive to a banned substance.

There was some controversy in how Shamrock’s bout ended, as he argued that it ended due to a low blow that the referee missed, but any challenge of such a finding would be moot if a positive test result for a banned substance were upheld.
