Kevin Belingon to Face Muin Gafurov at ONE: State of Warriors in Yangon | MMAWeekly.com

Two of ONE Championship‘s top bantamweights are set to do battle in Yangon next month. Former title challenger Kevin Belingon is going head to head with top prospect Muin Gafurov at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon.

The fight is one of three currently booked for what looks set to be a stellar ONE: State of Warriors card. Belingon (13-4) has been with the promotion since 2012. He was submitted by reigning bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes in his most recent bout.

Muin Gafurov 2 AKA Thailand 750Gafurov (10-1) burst onto the scene with stoppage wins over Casey Suire and Toni Tauru before dropping a decision to Reece McLaren. He remains a blue chip prospect and, at just 20 years old, could well be a future title contender.

Both will be looking to rebound from recent defeats and Belingon will also want to extend his camp’s remarkable recent winning run. Team Lakay fighters have combined to put together a streak of 13 straight victories.

The card also features a strawweight title bout, which sees Belingon’s teammate Joshua Pacio challenge Yoshitaka Naito for the belt. Meanwhile, local interest is provided by the presence of Aung La Nsang with the middleweight scheduled to face off against Michal Pasternak.
