Donald Cerrone knocked out Jim Miller in the headlining attraction of tonight's (Wed., July 16, 2014) UFC Fight Night 45: "Cerrone vs. Miller" event at the Revel Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He did so with a thunderous head kick in the second round of what was, not surprisingly, a wild bout, though no one could have known the bizarre twists and turns it would take, all within just over eight minutes of action. Miller was ahead early on but he failed when he attempted to take the fight to the mat and continually took damage to the body. That included a kick that appeared to hit the groin but upon replay was clean. The problem was the referee treated it like a low blow at first, calling a stop to the action, then changed his mind and refused to give Miller the five minutes of recovery time that comes with such an infraction. Instead, they reset in the center of the cage and Cerrone proceeded to finish the job from there, faking low and going high to earn the knockout. Goofiness aside, Cerrone was impressive once again and pushes his run of wins to four in a row. What's next?
