the difference between a champ and challenger is that the champ conserve their energy and then goes in for the kill at the apporpriate time ...just like a tiger or shark..injure their prey and slowly goes in for the kill....same as bone jones who constantly conserve his energy and uses his technique to tear down his opponent...even if the challenger is strong...as time goes by, that challenger strength will deteriorate....times is on the champ side.... so why does the challenger always end up loosing ?

JDS is absolutely right the way that the UFC has been putting title fights together lately is really screwball. The UFC has no real ranking system and will put together whatever fight that will sell regardless of who is a real contender. Hopefully Dana doesn't rip him to big of a new one but I am beginning to wonder about Dana's judgement lately anyways. I will continue to be a fan of the UFC but I like the Bellator format better.
