Josh Barnett vs. Ben Rothwell added to UFC on FOX 18 in New Jersey

A heavyweight matchup between top contenders Josh Barnett and Ben Rothwell has been added to January’s UFC on FOX 18 event.

The matchup was announced on Tuesday night on “FOX Sports Live.”

Rothwell is currently ranked No. 7 in the latest NOS Energy Drink MMA heavyweight rankings, while Barnett sits at No. 9.

Featuring a light heavyweight matchup between Anthony Johnson and Ryan Bader, UFC on FOX 18 takes place Jan. 30 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The evening’s main card airs on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

With the addition to the card, the UFC on FOX 18 lineup now includes:

• Anthony Johnson vs. Ryan Bader
• Josh Barnett vs. Ben Rothwell
• Jake Ellenberger vs. Tarec Saffiedine
• Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs. Joaquim Silva
• George Sullivan vs. Alexander Yakovlev
• Tony Martin vs. Felipe Olivieri
• Alex Caceres vs. Masio Fullen
