Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier ready to fight in Oklahoma, New Mexico, wherever

Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones are no strangers to heated talk. Jones came out on top when the two met at UFC 182 in Jan., taking a unanimous decision victory. That meeting didn’t settle the beef between the two that spilled over into a pre-fight press conference brawl before their prior meeting.

Jones (21-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) hasn’t fought since that bout, as the UFC stripped the longtime light heavyweight champion of his title following his involvement in an April hit-and-run incident. Cormier (17-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) won the vacant title in Jones’ absence with a third-round submission of Anthony Jonson at UFC 187. He followed that win up with a split-decision victory in a  title defense against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192.

With Jones reinstated by the UFC, it appears that the two are on a collision course to determine the “true champion” at 205 pounds. Jones is currently ranked No. 1 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA light heavyweight rankings while Cormier sits one spot below him at No. 2

Jones made it clear on Twitter that he’s so hungry to get his belt back that he’ll do it on Cormier’s home turf.

“Honestly I’d fight Daniel in the OSU wrestling room,” Jones wrote. “John Smith can be our referee. Just trying to take back what’s mine.”

Cormier was quick to respond, offering to take Jones up on his offer, and even Tweeting that he’d be the one to travel to do it.

“If that’s how we wanna do it,” Cormier wrote. “I can be in New Mexico in a few hours. And we can do it every day until fight day comes.”

Never one to let his opponent have the last word – in the octagon or out – Jones tossed out one final reply. And introduced the world to the “#BringyourKleenex” hashtag.

“Perfect Daniel, I’ll be at Jackson’s MMA grand opening this Saturday Oct 31st if you want to stop by. #BringyourKleenex”
