John Moraga vs. Dustin Ortiz added to UFC Fight Night 35 in Georgia

A flyweight matchup between onetime UFC title challenger John Moraga (13-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Dustin Ortiz (12-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) has been added to next month’s UFC Fight Night 35 event.

UFC officials recently announced the contest, which takes place Jan. 15 at Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.

The night’s main card, including a Luke Rockhold vs. Constantinos Philippou, airs on FOX Sports 1. The placement of the Moraga vs. Ortiz matchup has not yet been revealed.

Moraga fights for the first time since falling short against UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson in a July headliner. Prior to the loss, Moraga had earned seven straight wins, including UFC victories over Chris Cariaso and Ulysses Gomez.

Meanwhile, Ortiz takes a four-fight winning streak into the contest. The Tennessean made his UFC debut in November, earning a third-round TKO win over Jose Maria.
