John Lineker and Phil Harris Try it Again, Added to UFC Fight Night 30 Line-up

John LinekerJohn Lineker vs. Phil Harris was supposed to happen at UFC 163, but the bout got nixed. The two flyweights will try again, this time at UFC Fight Night 30 on Oct. 26 in Manchester, England.

UFC officials announced the bout on Friday.

Lineker and Harris were original on the schedule for UFC 163, but Harris had to withdraw from the fight due to a fractured orbital bone suffered in training.

Lineker (22-6) remained on the UFC 163 fight card, stopping Jose Maria by TKO early in the second round of their fight in Rio de Janeiro.

The victory inched Lineker’s overall record up to 3-1 in the Octagon. He’s considered a top flyweight, but has had difficulty making weight, missing the bar on two occasions under the UFC banner.

Harris (22-10) is 1-1 in the Octagon, but hasn’t fought since February, when he won a unanimous decision over Ulysses Gomez.

The orbital bone fracture has healed and now Harris returns to the cage to square off with Lineker, trying to take another step forward in the 125-pound class.

A middleweight contenders bout between Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz headlines the UFC Fight Night 30 card. It will be the first live UFC event to take place on Fox Sports 2, which is a re-branding of Fuel TV that launches on Aug. 17, alongside the launch of Fox Sports 1.
