John Alessio talks Bellator Debut and opening of his store in Las Vegas

MMA DIRT’s Darren Barcomb got together with lightweight fan favorite John Alessio to discuss his recent signing with Bellator and the opening of his boutique “The Sweat Store” in Las Vegas. The 33 year old Canadian born Alessio has compiled a record of 34-16 fighting for the likes of the UFC, WEC, PRIDE, MFC, and DREAM while travelling the world to do what he does best.

Read below as Alessio talks about his thoughts on Bellator and what his new store has to offer:

Barcomb: “Tell me about the store? What do you offer for products, and how did you Grand opening turn out?”

Alessio: “My wife and I just opened up "The Sweat Store". It is a yoga, workout, and training apparel boutique. We just had our grand opening on June 5th and it was a great turn out and total success, we’re excited for what future holds.”

Barcomb: “You're going to be pretty busy between owning a business, training and fighting. You recently signed with Bellator, when do you expect to see action for them? Does the lightweight tournament have your name written all over it?”

Alessio: “I will be a very busy man now but that's a good thing. My training won't suffer at all, I’m excited to make my Bellator debut in the September tourney; lots of tough guys will be in, and it’s my chance to shine and show the world I can do it.”
