A lightweight bout between Joe Proctor (11-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) and Magomed Mustafaev (12-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has joined December’s UFC 194 fight card.
UFC officials announced the bout via bostonherald.com.
UFC 194 takes place Dec. 12 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card, including featherweight champion Jose Aldo vs. interim titleholder Conor McGregor and middleweight champ Chris Weidman vs. Luke Rockhold, airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
The bout order hasn’t been finalized, but Proctor vs. Mustafaev is expected to be part of the prelims.
Proctor recently defeated Justin Edwards for his third win in four fights. The 30-year-old picked up one of the latest victories in UFC history after tapping our Edwards with just two seconds remaining in the fight.
“The Ultimate Fighter 15” quarterfinalist now faces surging Mustafaev. The 27-year-old Russian recently made his UFC debut and earned a TKO victory over Piotr Hallmann. He’s now won 11 straight fights, all via stoppage.
