Joe Ellenberger’s UFC debut has been rebooked for UFC Fight Night “Swanson vs. Stephens.”

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced Tuesday that Ellenberger will square off with Francisco Trevino at the June 28 event, which takes place at AT&T Center in San Antonio. The event is headlined by a featherweight showdown between Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens and airs live on Fox Sports 1.

Ellenberger was expected to make his Octagon debut this past Saturday at UFC 172 in Baltimore, but “Excalibur” was left without an opponent after both Yancy Medeiros and Vagner Rocha were pulled from the contest. The twin brother of UFC vet Jake Ellenberger, Joe now makes his promotional foray on the heels of back-to-back wins, most recently dispatching Joe Wilk in December 2012.

Trevino has never been bested as a professional, winning 12 consecutive bouts to start his career. The 32-year-old debuted in Octagon last month at UFC 171, outpointing Brazilian talent Renee Forte in a unanimous decision.
