A bout between strawweights Joanne Calderwood (5-0) and Sally Krumdiack (9-6) is among the new additions to next month’s Cage Warriors 53 card.
The 115-pound bout is currently slated as the co-headliner of the card, which takes place April 13 at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. The main streams on MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) following prelims on Facebook.
Other additions to the card include lightweights Jason Ball (19-11) vs. Jason Cooledge (7-3) and flyweights Paul Marin (5-2) vs. Neil Seery (11-9).
Calderwood, who fights in her home country, looks to continue her perfect record. The Cage Warriors newcomer and muay Thai vet, who owns a 19-2 kickboxing record, has recently competed for Invicta FC, where she earned a knockout win over Ashley Cummins and a decision victory over Livia von Plettenberg.
She takes on American fighter Krumdiack, who opened her career with an 8-3 mark. However, in her promotional debut, she suffered a TKO loss to Rosi Sexton at Cage Warriors 39, and it began a recent 1-3 skid. It included a submission loss to Sarah Schneider at Invicta FC 1.
The well-traveled Ball, meanwhile, recently halted a three-fight skid in BAMMA with a submission victory over Craig Allen this past weekend. He now takes on fellow Englishman and submission specialist Cooledge, who makes his promotional debut while on a 3-1 run.
Marin, a Romanian fighter, recently suffered a decision loss to Paul McVeigh at Cage Warriors 52. He takes on Seery, an Irishman who’s recently resurrected his career with Cage Warriors during his current 4-1 run.
